Her path into the wedding industry started with a personal experience. Her own wedding didn’t unfold the way she had envisioned, due to circumstances beyond her control, and that showed her just how much thoughtful coordination matters. When her sister got married, Ayo made it her mission to give her the joyful, stress-free wedding day she wished she’d had herself. Watching her sister fully enjoy the celebration, without worrying about the details, confirmed this was exactly what Ayo was meant to do.

Today, she helps couples create wedding days that feel calm, seamless, and beautifully considered. What inspired you to start Ayoé Weddings & Events?

I started Ayoé Weddings & Events because I love creating seamless, meaningful experiences. My own wedding didn’t go as planned and that experience showed me just how much of a difference the right coordination can make. When my sister got married, I made it my mission to ensure her wedding day was everything she had hoped for. I realized I loved being the calm behind the scenes—organizing details, solving problems and making sure everyone else could simply enjoy the moment. Helping couples experience a stress-free wedding day is what inspired me to turn that passion into a business.

My ideal clients are couples who value a calm, organized, and stress-free wedding experience. We primarily serve modern, multicultural, and faith-based couples who want a trusted professional to manage the logistics, coordinate vendors, and ensure every detail is executed seamlessly so they can be fully present and enjoy their celebration.

Before joining the Blueprint, what felt confusing, overwhelming, or uncertain about starting your wedding planning business?

Before joining the Blueprint, I knew I wanted to build a wedding planning business, but I felt overwhelmed by all the moving pieces. I questioned everything from my brand positioning and pricing to my service offerings and client experience. I wanted more than scattered advice from the internet; I wanted a proven framework. The Blueprint gave me clarity, direction, and the confidence to build Ayoé Weddings & Events with intention rather than guesswork.

Throughout your time inside The Blueprint, what changed most in how you see yourself as a business owner?

The biggest shift was seeing myself not just as a wedding coordinator, but as the CEO of a business. The Blueprint challenged me to think strategically about every aspect of my brand—from my ideal client and brand positioning to my client experience, pricing, and systems. Instead of simply offering a service, I learned how to build a business with intention. I now make decisions with confidence, communicate my value more clearly, and have a much stronger vision for the kind of experience I want every Ayoé Weddings & Events couple to have.

How would you describe your mindset now compared to when you started?

My mindset has shifted from simply wanting to coordinate weddings to intentionally building a sustainable, purpose-driven business. I now approach every decision with confidence, strategy, and a clear vision for the experience I want to create for my couples.

What part of the Blueprint made the biggest difference for you?

The biggest difference was starting with my vision, mission, and purpose. Defining my ideal client gave me clarity on who I wanted to serve and how I wanted my business to be perceived. Once those foundations were in place, everything else from my services and pricing to my branding, website, and client experience came together much more intentionally.
