Valentina Porro Owner of Valentina Weddings & Events
Valentina Porro, owner of Valentina Weddings & Events, opened her San Diego and Lake Como wedding planning and events company after deciding to press the “reset” button, leave Lake Como, and find work experience abroad. She moved to San Diego and was hired by a luxury hotel. It was there that her interest in events and weddings all started!
Valentina was born in Switzerland and lived in Lake Como, Italy for most of her life before moving to San Diego 8 years ago. While in San Diego, she met her husband and they moved back to Italy where they got married. Valentina never imagined that, one month after their wedding, they would be back in San Diego for her husband's work!
Once Valentina and her husband realized they would be in San Diego for the long run, she went back to work planning social and large corporate events. While working full time, she opened V Party & Events which is now Valentina Weddings & Events!
In 2020, Valentina also got creative and transformed her passion for flat lays into a business, The Flat Lays Styler. Today, she spends her days between planning and executing flawless events in San Diego & Lake Como for her couples, and painting styling surfaces for wedding photographers!

How would you describe your wedding design, planning, and coordination style at Valentina Weddings & Events?
Valentina Weddings & Events is a planning and events company located in San Diego & Lake Como, Italy. We take joy in creating a timeless look with touches of modern as we tell your story with personalized details. We love mixing classic elements with new ones as it creates continuity and flow to the design.
What type of couples do you love working with at Valentina Weddings & Events?
I am from another country, and I find that we work with a lot of couples or their families who are, by choice or origin, multicultural or from somewhere else in the world! The same is true for weddings in Lake Como. The couples who reach out to us at Valentina Weddings & Events love travel, art, and to experience a new culture.
Your business is GROWING this year! What fun and exciting things are you hoping to do/accomplish?
Plan weddings at my dream locations in San Diego & Lake Como!
I am hoping to book a wedding on Lake Como and at some of the venues I have been dreaming of here in San Diego.

What's your favorite part of working with your clients on the planning, design, and/or coordination of their wedding?
My favorite part of working with clients is the relationships I build with them during the planning process. That relationship starts from the first consultation where, in most cases, we don't know each other. Then, it grows as I get to know their vision and story; and it continues all the way to the wedding day and the moments we share that I'll always cherish.
