Caroline Hankins of Caroline Rose Events is an Alaska Wedding Planner who got an early start in the hospitality industry. Her time working in this field instilled in her a deep understanding of how to create memorable experiences for others.
Caroline grew up in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and, as a teen, started seasonal work in Cordova, Alaska. Alaska won her over, and she decided to live there full time, becoming a Wilderness Sea Kayak Guide in Glacier Bay National Park.
As a Guide, Caroline coordinated every little detail. Want to celebrate a birthday out in the wilderness? Sure! Bake a cake in a dutch oven over a fire near the glow of a glacier? Absolutely! She enjoyed creating lasting memories for her clients.
Now, Caroline lives full time in an off-grid cabin nestled on the banks of the Chilkat River with her partner and two dogs. As an Alaska Wedding Planner, she is committed to bringing that same “all in” approach from her guiding experience to her wedding and events business!

How would you describe your wedding design, planning, and coordination style at Caroline Rose Events?
At Caroline Rose Events, my planning and design style is fun, organized, and calm. As a Wedding Planner in Haines, Alaska, I’m lucky to plan weddings in such a beautiful place. The design is often inspired by the mountains, ocean, and the beautiful natural surroundings. The reception is where I get to really play with design, as it’s often in a tent or inside. It’s always an adventure here!
What type of couples do you love working with at Caroline Rose Events?
I love working with couples who are adventurous, flexible, and fun! It is always great when they are willing to go with the flow and try new things and experiences!
Your business is GROWING this year! What fun and exciting things are you hoping to do/accomplish?
I would love to plan two weddings a month through the summer, and connect with more wedding planners!

What's your favorite part of working with your clients on the planning, design, and/or coordination of their wedding?
I really enjoy getting to know the couple! It helps me plan the wedding of their dreams, and make things less stressful.
Another favorite part for me is the wedding day once everything is styled. I love seeing how happy my couples are with the final reveal, how it all came together, and the natural beauty of Alaska.
