I'm candice!

I'm Candice, your new tell-it-like-it-is BFF (and purpose cheerleader). Are you ready to grow and scale a profitable business with purpose–and one that gives back to your meaningful life? Thought so!

hello,

What's your brand cocktail for success?

take the quiz

*cues up to the bar* Let's start the tab, shall we? Take the quiz and find your brand cocktail for success.

I know you're ready to launch that ‘ish. Whether it's your new business, a podcast, a service or an idea. So my question to you is… why haven't you launched that ‘ish yet?

I have a sneaking suspicious there might be a few things holding you back from launching your business (or a new product, or your blog, a podcast–you name it!). Inside this article, I want to explore what's holding you back from launching whatever it is you want to do in this world.

Because, my friend, I've been there.

A few years before I decided to sell my business, I had a burning desire to shift directions. I wanted to explore what it could mean to be an educator in the wedding industry rather than run my successful wedding planning and design business. I had all the tools I needed to launch my coaching business (and maybe a course!), but something was holding me back.

To be honest, a few things were holding me back. I didn't feel smart enough, didn't think I had enough time, I was worried about what people thought, and believed I had to know EVERYTHING about how to do this coaching biz stuff before I actually did it.

Sound familiar?

Let's talk about what's holding you back from launching your shit–and how you can move past it.

Tired of procrastinating and want to learn how to launch your next big idea? I know you're ready to launch that ‘ish. Whether it's your new business, a podcast, a service or an idea. So my question to you is… why haven't you launched that ‘ish yet? I have a sneaking suspicious there might be a few things holding you back from launching your business (or a new product, or your blog, a podcast–you name it!). Inside this article, I want to explore what's holding you back from launching whatever it is you want to do in this world.

You're not launching that shit because you are over-analyzing everything.

Analysis paralysis. It's a serious thing and it's taken out many good ideas. Maybe it's where you're at right now, over-analyzing every little thing. Are you hanging on to these beliefs?

I need to know *insert the blank* before I can launch

But do you really need to know everything? No. The answer is no, you don't! The belief that we need to master every skill before we launch something is wrong. In fact, if you would just take action you'd immediately have more clarity on what to do next.

So the next time you say, “I need to know *insert the blank* before I can launch,” I want you to remember that experience is the greatest teacher. Go out there, do the thing, and learn from your experience.

I need to buy this course to teach me x

Listen! I sell courses and I am here to tell you do NOT need to buy another course to launch your idea. You have everything you need to take the first step to put your idea out there in the world. A course can help, but sometimes it keeps us stuck in “learning mode,” always searching for answers rather than doing the thing.

Experience, my friend, experience is the greatest teacher. You don't need ANOTHER course. You need to take action and put your idea out there in the world.

AKA: launch yo shit!

I need to have *insert number of followers* before I can launch

If you think that a magic number of followers is going to equal success, my friend, think again. You can launch whatever you want with as many followers as you have today. It's not about having MORE followers, it's about showing up for the people who already follow you.

Remember them?

Instead of focusing on more followers I want you to focus on the people who are already paying attention. They're waiting for you, sister. So when are you gonna show up?!

I need to get botox, lashes, facial rejuvenation and a new wardrobe

This is for all my ladies (and gents!) who find it hard to get in front of the camera. Who record a video, and then immediately delete it because they don't like how they look. I want you to listen to me, and listen to me carefully: you are perfectly fine just the way you are. You don't need to wait until your botox appointment or your next face lift to get your ass out there and start talking to people.

The longer you wait, the more opportunity you waste. What if I told you that if you'd just launch your shit already, you'd have the extra cash to buy that new wardrobe for your videos GUILT FREE?

I know there's a lot buried in this belief that you don't look the part yet, or that you need a makeover before you get on camera. And I'm not qualified to help you figure some of those things out (because, in truth, I suffer from this too). But I will tell you that you should just throw a filter on it and GET MOVING!

You're not launching that shit because you got a big bad case of imposter syndrome.

Imposter syndrome sucks. Full stop. And I find that the people who are MOST qualified to launch their shit suffer from imposter syndrome the worst. It's just like the Dunning Kruger effect states: people who have no idea what they're doing think they know everything, and people with too much information and experience want to crawl into a hole and hide because they're over-analyzing everything.

I’m not good enough yet

Hon, you are good enough and you are ready. What are you *really* going to learn in 3-weeks time from another course or another book? And all this time you're wasting saying you're not good enough yet, well if you'd launched your shit by now you'd be a lot farther ahead.

So repeat after me: I am good enough and I am fully able to launch *insert what you wanna do*.

Capiche?

No one will buy from me

Ok, I'm going to admit: this is a valid fear. We all have this fear when we launch something new. What is no one buys?! We're going to feel so embarrassed! We will have wasted our time! People are going to laugh at us and think, wow, she's such a loser. No one bought!

Except that rarely happens.

And if no one buys from you the first go-around… OK? What's next? What did we learn? How can we FIX IT!? Because trust and believe it will happen and you will find another way forward.

So don't worry too much about that. If you build something great, people will buy it.

People are going to judge me

Listen. People have been judging you since the day you were born and if you make a name for yourself here on this earth… they'll be judging you long before you're gone.

But the truth of the matter is people don't really judge you. No one is looking at you and laughing behind the scenes. Wanna know why? Because no one has time for that shit. They're too worried about their own stuff (and being judged for it) to judge you.

And the people who do judge you? I've often found it's because you're doing something they wish they had the guts to do, too.

So don't worry about what people think. Most people don't think about you too much (in a good way!). Oh, and if someone really is judging you for pursuing your passion and living in your purpose, wanna know what? Fuck them! 🙂 Keep doing you.

You have everything you need to launch your shit. Whatever it might be.

Take it from me. I've been where you've been and I know how you feel. But I also know that on the other side of launching your next greatest idea is the clarity you need to keep going.

So here's what I want you to do. I want you to comment below on how you're going to launch your next biggest idea and which one of these mindset blocks you're going to bust through so you can finally launch!
