Alexa's background is in finance and business management, but her passion is wedding planning. She has always had a calling to help others. Making time to volunteer at domestic violence and family shelters is very important to her. And now, in addition to that work, Alexa gets to help beautiful people plan beautiful events. By the time she's finished with a wedding, she's as in love with the event as the couple is with each other.

How would you describe your wedding design, planning, and coordination style at Monarch Creative Events?
Monarch Creative Events is a wedding planning company in the Chicago suburbs, and we're Type A. We have a detailed planning guide that we give every couple. The collection they purchase determines how much input we provide. We're also hands-on and love making real connections with our couples.
What type of couples do you love working with at Monarch Creative Events?
We enjoy couples who are truly in love and value the ceremony before the reception. When I ask what couples are most excited about, I always love when they say ‘seeing him/her for the first time and finally saying I Do!'
Your business is GROWING this year! What fun and exciting things are you hoping to do/accomplish?
I'm currently working a 9-5, and I really want to make wedding planning my full-time gig!

What's your favorite part of working with your clients on the planning, design, and/or coordination of their wedding?
It's hard to pick just one, but I would say the wedding day is my favorite. Seeing the vision come to life. I also love the hug at the end of the night with the bride and groom, crying as we say our goodbyes knowing that our working relationship is coming to an end.
